Quick Update + Banksy

To all my new followers, thanks for joining up! I'll be bringing the love every day so stay tuned and keep me posted on what YOU think of the blog.

First off, if you have a twitter account be sure to hit me up at twitter.com/uncommissioned.

Second, for the unacquainted, Banksy is one artist that you need to know about if you're getting into street art.  Perhaps the most famous street artist at the moment, Banksy has been making headlines time and time again for his provocative stencils and installations.



If you saw my post on Exit Through the Gift Shop, you're already semi-aware of Banksy as he was the director.  Seriously, if you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor.


He's big. Pretty much responsible for bringing street art into the mainstream and redefining what people think of "graffiti".  What do you guys think?

    Banksy! i saw the movie about him a few weeks ago, this man is a legend love the graffiti he did in israel.

    He was in the news today, it was a girl's crayon house getting foreclosed. I guess he's in LA right now.

    I love his stuff! it's amazing art...i heard about a book about american graffti art and protecting the images on certain buildings.

    I love graf. I live in Queens and sometimes on my commute I go past the fun factory...It's cool to see all the works in progress...
    I'm not too familiar with Banksy's work but I am more acquainted with his legend...

    I sort of thought the documentary was a hoax. Sort of a way for Banksy to play a joke on all the hipsters who've just now adopted his work.
